I'm Camilly, a designer and the mind behind MATERIA. I work with visual identity, typography, and cultural systems, which in practice means I spend hours deciding if a letter is slightly crooked, only to realize I'm the only one who notices. But when the client notices too, I know I've done the job right.

My interest in design started in my teens; I was a very "crafty" kid, I loved drawing, doodling, learning different types of painting and art, and as I grew up, I discovered that this interest could be applied to communication. Since then, I can't look at a menu, packaging, or street sign without mentally critiquing it; this factory defect became my profession.

Away from the computer, I collect various hobbies. I play soccer (when they take me off the bench), I like sports in general—they either de-stress me or stress me out even more. I love music in all its forms, but electronic music has my heart, and that's just a little bit about me! All of this finds its way into my work in some way, and what doesn't, at least puts me in a good mood, which also helps with the results.

In a few years, I want to have an artistic signature recognized worldwide. In the meantime, I'm gathering academic and real-world projects, and each one teaches me something that the next one already uses.
